Never attach to inaction

Never attach to inaction Performing your own duties is the highest work you can do. A person should never consider himself as the doer of his actions and entitle himself as the cause of their results. What happens is just happen according to God's will. But if everything happens and the reason behind, is God then why one should indulge in performing his duties, God will come and do it. But actually, my dear, this is not true. We all know what our duties are as students, homemakers, teachers, etc. We should perform our actions as per the scriptures. We can do our thing or task that God has assigned to us but there are other factors also that are not in our own hands and we cannot take whole credit as we are the doer and entitled to the fruits of our actions. Every moment we are changing because our thoughts are changing. The moment we perform a particular action out of the dominant thought we had. Another moment, the result you will get, is you are no longer the same person becaus...

What if nobody loves you

What if nobody loves you  People seek validation from others. If nobody took care of them and loved them back, they felt a sense of incompleteness. Monks constantly have said this-"if nobody loves you, it's a blessing of God to you to continue the path of Bhakti Yog." After all, the process of bhakti is meant to bring about a transformation to you. God is only an eternal and unchanging force in this world. Bhakti Marga is a gradual process and takes years to attain the state of devotee. In Bhakti Marga, we call God, Sriman Narayana. He is within us and also takes on outer forms. The ultimate goal of life is to attain the Lotus Feet of Sriman Narayana, the supreme Lord. A person should understand that the world is temporary and this world only loves you for their desires to be fulfilled but God is eternal and he loves you for who you are in real from inside not pretend to be from outside on a superficial level. Seeking love, happiness, and attention is out of our control...

Success is never final

Success is never final The biggest threat to a person isn't failure- it's success. The moment, a person reaches the top, something shifts. Their attitude change and the mindset that once fueled him begins to fade. He/she stops innovating them. Instead of questioning what's next, they start protecting what already works. Usually, you can see the students who once were toppers in their schools, later on, not perform something extraordinarily great in their life. This only happens because they go for safe and secure options rather than innovation and experimentation with the work they have.  Most successful persons rely on past decisions, old strategies and assume their previous success will continue. What separates those who stay ahead from those who fall behind isn't intelligence or experience- it's whether they understand that success is never final. Usually, success creates a false sense of security. The person who once took risks and questioned assumptions now foc...

Forgiveness: A journey to happiness

Forgiveness: a journey to happiness Who has not been hurt by the actions or words of another? Almost everyone holds some grudge against someone. When we hear the word 'forgive', it makes us feel to forget everything but actually, forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting the harm done to you or even it also doesn't necessarily mean making up with the person who cause the harm. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that allows you to focus on yourself and helps you to go on with life. Wounds can leave lasting feelings of resentment, bitterness, anger and sometimes hatred. If you dwell on hurtful events or situations, grudges filled with resentment and hostility can take root. In a society that glorifies revenge and holding grudges, it's challenging to choose forgiveness, especially since it can be viewed as weakness by others. In today's scenario, anger and revenge are the fuel that drives people to be successful but it comes with a very hefty price to pay. But you have...

Knowledge, wisdom and its applications

Knowledge, wisdom, and its applications Education always played an important role in everybody's life. But how many graduate and post-graduate students perform well in life and their professional setup? Many do not have any ambitions in their professional lives and there is nothing bad with it. People do jobs to feed their families. But when it comes to life, then many of us feel some void and lack of purpose in life. Even sometimes we can't recognize what's the missing part of life. People live monotonous lives and repetitively perform daily tasks. So many people have all the physical things, that other people desire to have, but still, they fail to direct their life in the right direction. When life's problems hit us then we realize that nothing related to coping with situations they learned in their school and college life. Students receive degrees from their institutions and live their lives by doing jobs in corporations and other sectors. All in our student life, w...

Feelings of Internal World

Feelings of Internal World In Hindi, there is a word 'bhaav' which indicates what's going on inside you, and what emotions or feelings you carry regarding the particular work. 'Bhaav' is a much more deep term than 'feelings'. Many believe that you have to think about outcomes and gains before getting into the work. But if analyze the patterns of extraordinary work in the world then you know that those people have a deep desire for the work they get. Nowadays 'passion' term is a very misused word. People advise around you to do the work you are passionate about and most people get confused about what they are passionate about?  For doing any work or identifying the work that matches with your inner personality. 'Bhaav' is very important. Where the 'bhaav' is very deep and intense, you don't have to think about outcomes and gains out of it. You don't need to put your brain, into thinking about how to generate revenue out of it...

World is illusion

World is illusion We see this world from our own perspectives. People live with their truths or own philosophies about the world. In Hindi, there is a term used called 'khandit satya' which indicates the fact that individuals only know the incomplete truth. What the world looks like to us is not the reality, it is our illusion. In Jainism, there is a very beautiful philosophy that is, 'Anekantvad' means that people can hold different, even seemingly contradictory views and both still be right in their own frame of reference. There is a very popular example, where 6 blind people, all interact with different parts of an elephant. Not knowing what it is, they might all guess that they are touching various organs depending on what part of the elephant they sense. None of them are wrong as per what they sense, but are only in a position to view a partial truth.  Adi Shankaracharya always said this-"Jagat mithya". This phrase is usually used to incorporate humblen...
