Forgiveness: A journey to happiness

 Forgiveness: a journey to happiness

Who has not been hurt by the actions or words of another? Almost everyone holds some grudge against someone. When we hear the word 'forgive', it makes us feel to forget everything but actually, forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting the harm done to you or even it also doesn't necessarily mean making up with the person who cause the harm. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that allows you to focus on yourself and helps you to go on with life. Wounds can leave lasting feelings of resentment, bitterness, anger and sometimes hatred. If you dwell on hurtful events or situations, grudges filled with resentment and hostility can take root. In a society that glorifies revenge and holding grudges, it's challenging to choose forgiveness, especially since it can be viewed as weakness by others. In today's scenario, anger and revenge are the fuel that drives people to be successful but it comes with a very hefty price to pay. But you have to understand the fact, that if you hold grudges, how can it improve your life. You should recognize the value of forgiveness. At the energy level, we are all interconnected. That's why in 'Dharma Grantha', it's always been said "not to hurt anybody" because to some extent, it will harm you too. You feel bad about you and the god resides in another being gets hurt. The people who do good to others, feel good about themselves because the same energy within them makes them feel better and their self-esteem gets elevated.

You have to identify your pain and emotional pin-points and start working on yourself to heal. The pain that you hold for years might be the one that makes your relationships and experiences bitter. You find yourself so wrapped up that you even can't enjoy the present. Forgiving others should be the intentional decision you make in your life. The act of hurt or pain remains with you, so you have to release those negative energies and welcome new positive and high vibrational energies. Forgiving sometimes might get tough but anyone can learn the process and become more forgiving. You just have to be patient with yourself and be the learner to get out of the loop of negative thought processes. Practice empathy and try to see the situation from the other person's point of view. Try to reflect on times when others have forgiven you. So many times God has forgiven you so you should also learn to forgive others for their mistakes. At the end of the day, we are all human beings, and mistakes can be committed by anybody. Don't be too harsh on others. Take guidance from spiritual leaders through online platforms, videos, etc. Such people will help you to make you realize to see the big picture. Forgiveness is a process. You have to forgive people within a journey of life again and again. Holding grudges can ruin your mental health and pain can stimulate or motivate you in the short run, but in the long run, you will find yourself unhappy and a victim of a situation and people.

Forgiveness releases stress and boosts your immunity. You become emotionally fit and much more stronger with time. You can feel peaceful within your company. Forgiving others is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. It can make you feel happier and you can experience the divine bliss within you.

"Forgiveness is not only an act, it's a journey."
