Honor your truth
Honor your truth
People always use these sentences- "Be nice to everyone", "Niceness is a trait of a good human being", "Be nice to your elders", etc. But always being nice in every situation is a sign of foolishness. Being nice got people used, stressed, and disrespected. Why do you want to be nice to everyone's eyes?
When you ask certain questions and do some self-analysis, you will find that people try to be nice just for their benefit for a short period. Few people do certain things because they have heard somewhere that being nice is a sign of a good person. A wise human is aware of the fact, that if they perform any action, it comes from their self-awareness not just they want to portray some sort of good image to anybody. Most of our lives get better when we realize that you don't have to be nice. There is a huge difference between being nice and being a good person. If you are really a good person, you don't have to show it or portray it in any form, it just reflects through your actions, thought process, behavior, and other aspects of life. You don't have to be nice to be a good person. Being good means being honest, setting your own boundaries, and taking care of yourself without compromising your values. Setting boundaries is important to get rid of misuse. There is a slight difference between being nice and a good person. A good person can never compromise their values in any situation, no matter how tough the situation gets. They always prioritize their values and beliefs but a nice person can compromise anything to just fit in. Being nice may give you temporary approval but it rarely earns you respect or helps you build genuine connections.
Aspire to be a good person, not just nice. Be a person who honors their truth, values, and dignity. Be a genuine person who says what he/she believes rather than just trying to fit in the situation by compromising their own self.
"Honor your truth...!!
You won't regret it."
