World is illusion We see this world from our own perspectives. People live with their truths or own philosophies about the world. In Hindi, there is a term used called 'khandit satya' which indicates the fact that individuals only know the incomplete truth. What the world looks like to us is not the reality, it is our illusion. In Jainism, there is a very beautiful philosophy that is, 'Anekantvad' means that people can hold different, even seemingly contradictory views and both still be right in their own frame of reference. There is a very popular example, where 6 blind people, all interact with different parts of an elephant. Not knowing what it is, they might all guess that they are touching various organs depending on what part of the elephant they sense.
